Prickly heat which is also called miliaria and it is a rash which can develop after a person sweats far more than usual and sweat glands become blocked. It affects babies and children in hot or humid weather. It can appear in the folds of the skin and any parts of the body like upper chest, neck, groin, and armpits. If your child wear cap then it can spread to his scalp or forehead. Babies are mostly prone to prickly heat. The sweat ducts of newborns are remaining under-developed for a long time, and they are prone to quick blocking.

Oatmeal Bath for Prickly Heat
Taking oatmeal bath is also effective for prickly heat and after taking Oatmeal Bath soaks yourself for 15 to 20 minutes. You can also use the oatmeal to scrub the affected areas.
Aloe Vera Gel for Prickly Heat
Pluck an aloe leaf and cut it. Squeeze out the gel from the leaf in a bowl and apply this on the affected part and massage it in.
Baking Soda for Prickly Heat
Make a solution of baking soda with cool water. For solution Dip a clean, soft, washcloth in the solution and rub on affected areas of the skin for heal prickly heat. Leave this solution for some minutes before rinsing it. The antibacterial properties of it will help to prevent infections.
Ginger for Prickly Heat
Rate some fresh ginger root and boil it in water. Let water cool and then use clean, soft washcloth to dab your skin with solution. Keep the solution on for 10-12 minutes and then rinse it off.
Camphor for Prickly Heat
Take a mallet and crush the camphor into powder. Mix a margosa (neem) oil in powder for make a gooey paste and apply this paste on your skin and let it sit for 5-7 minutes. Rinse it off with water.
Coriander Leaves and Sandalwood Powder
Grind the coriander leaves and mix with sandalwood powder. Add some rosewater for make a thick paste. Apply this paste on the affected skin. Let it stand till paste dries and use cool water to rinse it off.
Henna Powder for Prickly Heat
Make a thick paste of henna powder by using some water and apply it on your rash. Leave it about 15-20 minutes before rinsing it.
Lime Juice for Prickly Heat
Squeeze a fresh lime in a glass of water. You can sweeten it with honey and drink it. Drink 3 to 4 glasses per day.
Gooseberries for Prickly Heat
Halve a few gooseberries and place them in a vessel and Pour some water over the pieces and cover it. Stand it overnight. In morning, use the same water for mash the gooseberries and add honey and drink.
Papaya for Prickly Heat
Mash the papaya and apply it on your effected skin. Stay it for about 20 to 25 minutes before washing it. Do this every day or as and when required.
Lavender Essential Oil for Prickly Heat
